Shakespeare in the Park comes to Saltaire

Bandstand, Roberts Park, SaltaireThis coming summer something exciting is coming to Roberts Park, Saltaire.

On the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of June 2014, we will be staging Saltaire’s first ‘Shakespeare in the Park’, a completely free to watch, open-air performance of William Shakespeare’s ‘The Taming of the Shrew’.

There are no pricey tickets, no booking fees or queues. You simply have to be in the park that day to catch the performance.

Open-air theatre is going through somewhat of a revival at the moment, especially the Shakespeare comedies, and it is our aim to bring theatre, free of charge, to you, and you, and most definitely you!

Perhaps you would not normally want to pay high prices for theatre tickets, or even consider going to a theatrical event. Our aim is to bring the theatre to you. This production is completely free, for everyone.

We have already received the relevant permissions from Bradford Council to stage the performances, and we are in the process of pulling together our cast and crew. There are exciting times ahead, and we’re hoping you’ll come along for the journey.

We’ll be keeping you up to date here, with all the latest event news so make sure you pop back!

See you in June?
